How many properties do you own?

So far, just one, but I’m hoping to increase that! I bought an ‘armchair deal’ property in the North West of England. I live in the UAE and needed the confidence to be able to ‘seal the deal’ without ever having visited the property. A friend who works in the property industry put me in touch with Mish Liyanage of the Mistoria Group. Mish presented me with a number of different options and I picked the one that best suited my price range. It was a very smooth process and there were already tenants in the property, so I didn’t need to worry about that.

Why have you chosen to invest in the property market?

I wanted a healthy return on my investment in an area which is on the rise.

Why did you choose to invest in the North West of England?

I am originally from Oldham and my family still live there. I know the area well, so it was a sensible choice in terms of keeping an eye on things. Choosing to invest in a location that I am familiar with is important as I am based so far away.
